QNB Indonesia Goes to School Continues, Engaging Students in Medan
1 September 2022 - Strengthening the commitment to support the improvement of financial literacy since early stage, QNB Indonesia conducted its annual program, QNB Indonesia Goes to School.
Following the series of activities in Batam, Bandung, Semarang, and Surabaya in 2021, this year, QNB Indonesia continued the roadshow to Medan. Targeting the students of SMKN 3 Medan, QNB Indonesia Goes to School still carried the same module as the previous activities, in which the students were taught about the basic financial planning.
During this session, the students firstly engaged in an interactive game where they need to understand about needs vs wants and were taught about prioritizing their spending. Next, the students learned about managing finances, including book-keeping and budgeting as it is important to build a good financial habit. To conclude the session, the students were asked to make a commitment on what behavior they would like to start, stop, and continue, in order to help them achieve their financial goals.
A total of 60 students participated in this activity along 12 employees of QNB Indonesia who acted as volunteer, helping the students to learn.
Following the financial literacy session, the students were engaged in an e-poster competition where they were asked to create an e-poster with the topic of financial planning for youth. Winning group is entitled to win prizes of voucher for a virtual classes that the winners can choose themselves.
